Hello ladies!

Please excuse my complete lack of understanding but what are dopplers? How useful do you find them? Would you recommend them? And what is the average price?

Short'n'sweet! :) xox

U use to hear babys heart beat id only use if u have patience as can take awhile to find baby heart beat i had to leave for few hours and try again I've read some ladys have left it a week then tried again . Prices vary mine is angel sounds from amazon just under 20quid

You can hire a decent one from EBay for a month or more if you just want to try. I loved having one in the weeks between my 12 week and 20 week scan. You don't feel the movement much in this bit so it was nice to 'keep in touch' with the bubba and make sure all is ok! X

That's great! Thankyou ladies! I've seen the name 'Angelsounds' used on here before and thought it was some kind of baby monitor for a crib.... D'oh! :) I haven't had a scan yet so might consider it after that. Is it possible to get baby's heartbeat confused with your own? I know that might seem a daft question but I know your pulse is more prominent in certain parts of the body...xox

Yes, you can get confused! Your heartbeat generally is about half the speed. I've heard the Sonoline B doppler is excellent x

I have an Angelsounds doppler and found HB for the first time yesterday. I get the feeling they're not as good as say the Sonoline B one. But then I guess you get what you pay for. Angelsounds was the cheapest I could find on the market.

I have to say, finding and hearing baby's HB for the first time was amazing and I would recommend it to anyone!! I have recorded it to my laptop so I can hear it again at any time. A wonderful sound to hear and so comforting!

Edited to add - it's VERY easy to find your own HB, but it is very much slower than baby's HB. You can definitely tell the difference. I found that my HB is easy to find along the sides of where I imagine my uterus to be and is usually accompanied by a "whooshing" noise, baby's is right in the middle (well it is for me!) and less "whooshing"!! lol!

I hae a Hi-bebe with me it was just a faze.. I used it each day now I barley use it at all! x
