double whammy. high blood pressure and gestional diabetes :(

Im early in my 3rd trimester and at my last visit found out I had high blood pressure. I also took the glucose test and now found out that i also have gestational diabetes as well. Since the news my doc has been scheduling tons of appts and i all of a sudden feel like a lab rat

Is anyone else going through either of these things? Any advice on what else to expect or tips on how to keep my levels under control?
