Nearly 14 week bump- and I have a strong piercing pain down in my lower abdominal to the right side

No bleeding

I know that general period pain and aching pains are normal but not sure about this

Don't want to worry over nothing but can't stop worrying

You should call your doctor or midwife just in case ive read minor pain without bleeding is normal any severe pain should be checked!

It probably is just stretching or something but its worth getting it checked to be sure! xxx

I hope everything is ok xxx keep us posted xxx

Just rang the hospital and they told me to get a urine sample to the gp so they check for a urine infection too maybe. If doctor is worried its pregnancy related, he'll refer me in to the hospital

X

Good i hope it is just something minor like a urine infection. Good luck xxxx

pain on the right hand side is common with ligament pain apparently so if it is not urine could be that. uterus lifts and moves to the right causing pain. only know as Googled it for me the other day. hope all goes well for you x

Thank you girlies

Just at docs now. I'm sure it's nothing but need to make sure x

In hospital having appendix checked out after gp sending me here

Definitely good to have it checked out anyhow. That happened to me a couple months ago, and the docs had me have things checked out anyway. Turned out to be nothing affecting baby- but I had a kidney stone... I think when it's something you're concerned about it's good to talk to your doctor for peace of mind and to make sure there's not something they can do for your body.

Hope all is well and they can make you feel better! :flower:

Awww hugs hon hopefully it's not your appendix......tho once it's out that's it, won't bother you again! Hope you get some answers and feet better soon xx

Thank you to you all

Just leaving the hospital. Blood work doesn't show a major infection so doc doesn't think it's appendicitis. He's given me antibiotics for a urine infection (although the urine sample results won't be back for 5days)

Glad to hear it doesn't look like your appendix. Just a warning, the meds may make you feel a little run down or tired. They work great, but I know when I've had to taken them I didn't want to move.

take your probiotics, too, with the antibiotics- or eat lots of yogurt, lol- I always end up getting a yeast infection after the antibiotics, and the one I got while pregnant was the worst!

Glad to hear it isn't appendicitis...and glad they gave you antibiotics to get you going on that before the test results come back  hopefully it goes better for you :flower:

Urine infections can be awful and you can be doubled up in pain with them.

Hope the antis kick in for you quickly :flower:

Thank you everyone for your replies

The pain im getting is also like a stitch feeling on my right side and into my back

I have no fever or anything

The pain in my lower abdo is either strong or throbbing

Midwife wasn't too pleased that they didn't scan me yesterday (as I was on the maternity ward anyway) just to rule out any cysts or fibros etc

Oh well! ;)
