This is probably going to sound really stupid but I'm actually pretty worried.
I've been shaving 'down below' for quite some time, as most teens do...
But my mum's 50 and I don't think people did it in her day because she keeps saying things like:
Me: I need to get a new sponge, mine's full of Jordan's (my brother's) pubes
Mum: How do you know they're not yours?
Just little things like that that make it clear she doesn't expect me to be shaven and I'm getting worried about her seeing me give birth because of it!

Im a bit confused. What could she have a problem with? So what if you shave? Many girls do, what could your mum say?

Im a bit confused too.
Your worried what your mums going to think of your pubes?
I could understand if it was a tattoo or peirceing you didnt want your mum to see but its body hair hun, Some people shave some people dont, Its nothing to worry about.
Im sure she wont be offended if your not hairy!
xX

Hun you having a baby, your mum wont be looking at your pubes! I hate that word lol

I know it does sound really silly but I can just see her being really shocked by it and thinking it's abnormal! I think it might upset her, I remember a while ago her saying she saw a woman with no hair (I hate the word pubes too!!) and it was disgusting, like a child.

LOL I'm not worried about this.. then again I told my mom and my boyfriend's mom that they can't be there when the baby is coming out.. they MUST leave the room!! haha.

Also.. I'm worried about not being able to shave when I get farther along because my bump is too big.. does anyone know if that happens? lol

Yes it does. I shave blind now LOL I miss bits but nevermind :(

Can you ask her to stand at the head-end? My sister had Mum in with her when she gave birth, but she agreed to stay at the head-end. LOL

Your mum will be so intent on making you as comfy as possible whilst your in labour that even if she does think owt of it she wont say anything and then will prob forget after when shes got her new grandchild to tend to :)

That's a good point. I think I might have her up by my head anyway, altough she'll probably be quite upset to hear that.

You're worried about how she'll react over your pubes (or lack thereof)?
How the hell did she react when you told her you're pregnant?! :|

PS my mum's also 50 and she shaves down there too... wouldn't worry about it, she probably just doesn't want to assume.

your pregnant and your worried about your mother seeing you down there?...Hunni that should be the least of your worries lol..

Is it wrong that made me giggle? lol
I could just imagine my mums face if this was happening to me...

Me: "Mum, I'm pregnant"
Mum: :o "What?"
Me: "I also shave down there, I'm sorry"
Mum: *slap* "How dare you!"

Sorry, was just trying to lighten the mood and the thought of my mum just made me laugh :p

But yeah, to be a bit helpful :) mums are like that, they seem to be really dodgy about stuff like that. In a way, my mum's the same but to be honest we're not that close so she won't be in the delivery room with me to see anything. If she does she anything, I'm sure she'll be more concerned about the little miracle being born, not whether you shave or not. If you feel more comfortable with her by your head though, that's up to you hun :) but I can promise you... the last thing on your mind when you go into labour is what your mum's gonna see lol xxx
