DPO? When do you count from?

So I always counted the day AFTER O because it's days PAST but when I entered the details into my ticker it added an extra day on so I was wondering when you guys count from and which way is right? Is it the day O occurs or the day after?

dpo1 the first day after Ovulation. That is how Fertility Friend counts it.

The first day after ov is 1dpo etc. When you get your first full day of proper AF (not spotting) it's CD1.

I wonder why the ticker added an extra day? I O on 14th and today is the 22nd so that would make 8DPO right?

Yeah 8dpo I make it...check your time zone in settings maybe

My time settings were right - I must have typed the wrong O date because when I went back to check in the drop down box it was wrong!!
