Dr Brown or MAM bottles for reflux?

We originally tried tommee tippee when he was a week old but quickly switched to MAM anti colic. Never had an issue with those bottles and Noah loves the teet shape. No reflux problems or colic.

Have been to the doctors and she thinks that it is reflux and has given me a prescription of infant gaviscon.
She said that it will just be trial and error for now as it still may be colic or even both.

She didn't say nothing about the bottles when I mentioned it as she said she's never heard of them or hasn't had any experience with them and for now to keep her on her usual milk.

For those that use infant gaviscon will I need different teats as I know it makes the formula thicker?

Thanks for almost the replies :)

We had to increase the test size when we used infant gaviscon mixed in the formula.

We found it easier to mix it with water and give in a separate bottle before the formula (it's the way you give it if you are breast feeding apparently)

Hope the gaviscon helps!

Infant gaviacon is brill i used that on both my babies x

Yes it dies thicken it a bit. Try with yurt bottles and see how they go, you may need to increase. Glad you got the gaviscon! X

I didnt need bigger teats, I use MAM. Gaviscon is a miracle worker for my daughters reflux lol good luck x

Infacol is not for reflux. Go to your GP if your LO is displaying reflux symptoms and they will prescribe infant gaviscon if they agree with the HV.

Thanks, I went to the doctors this afternoon and she thinks it is reflux so has prescribed infant gaviscon, think the health visitor may have got confused between reflux and colic. :)
