My LO started eating food about 10 days ago and she was doing really well and eating quite a bit i.e. Half an avocado, 1 carrot, 1 banana size servings. Apart from the newborn stage she hasn't been much of a pooper, it's not unusual for her to go 4-5days.

A couple days after starting food she had a poop which was like breastfed poop only thicker like a thick paste, the next day she had some similar but only a small amount and then yesterday she a small solid soft yellow poop. Sorry for the descriptions lol.

Since yesterday she hasn't been really feeding (foods) well and will only eat a few spoons, I thought it was because she didn't like the green beans I made so I made her half a pear instead which she has eaten before and liked, but she wouldn't really take that either.

We have been eating breakfast and dinner, although sometimes I would give her some finger foods to eat (read mess about with) at lunch time.

I'm now wondering whether we overdid it, should I drop down to food at just dinner time, should she be pooping more than she? Could she just be really full as she isn't passing the food she is eating?

How old is she?

At first when giving them solids I think they need a bit of time to adjust and do get constipated. I now add a tint by of rapeseed oil with my baby's pureed veg at night and when I give him pureed fruit for breakfast I add a pureed prune, he's not been constipated since I started doing this.

My lo refuses to drink water so I look at ways to include things in his diet to make him less constipated.

She'll be 26 weeks this week.

I didn't know rapeseed oil helps with constipation. Will also look into the prunes in with dinner.

Thanks!
