Hi,
My baby has had what the pediatrician is calling dry skin since 4 months old. Baby is now a year and the dry skin spots have increased a bit from just a spot on her leg to a few more. Mostly on her left leg, a little on her right leg. I've attached photos.
We put the best sometimes expensive moisturizers on these spot, raw coconut oil, honey, you name it. The spots don't go away. The skin is rough there, not itchy to baby though and no pain thankfully.

Has anyone experienced this? We thought allergy to something but she had it since 4 months old when she has been only breastfed. We will ask ped again next checkup but wanted to check here first.

I can't say much but what you described sounds like my baby's eczema. He has one patch where his diaper elastic is that doesn't seem to bother him that feels really dry and is a bit pink.

Looks a bit like psoriasis to me, but I'm not a doctor. One of my friends had it and my SIL does as well

Doesn't look anything like the eczema my kids have, I would seek out a new opinion.

Is it getting bigger or staying the same size? In the pics they are all fairly circular so my initial thought was fungal skin complaint, but they are usually itchy.

There is a type of eczema called discoid eczema that looks like that. You might want to try some mild steroid cream to see if it clears up.

I'd try antifungal cream first to rule out a mild case of ringworm. It has no side effects, especially clotrimazole based cream is safe.
My lo has Candida due to an immature digestive system/ antibiotics after birth and keeps getting little rashes and a hint of cradle cap which goes away quickly with antifungal cream.

If it is eczema, a lot of cases are food related (dairy, gluten, nights shades, eggs etc.) So that would be something to consider next.

I think miconozole creams are often recommended for the treatment of fungal rashes instead, but I believe it is safe for babies too.

There are a lot of studies regarding the safety of Clotrimazole even in the first trimester that is why I recommended it. Also it seems to be tolerated well long term. I had to use it for years for a chronic fungal issue on my scalp and face and most of my blog readers had the most success with it over other antifungals :) (I have gotten feedback from about 100) So it is my personal first choice.
