firstly I know they are some people here who will say i'm stupid for fallen pregnant again so soon but before you judge me let me tell you why we did it.
it took over 2 years to fall pregnant with my son, I had 2 chemical pregnancies before I finally fell pregnant with my son.
I was induced with him at 36+4 weeks due to him having iugr. 14 hours after being started of I ended up having an emcs due contractions being every 28 seconds and my son being distressed.
Both me and hubby wanted our kids to be close in age so said when he was 3 months we'd start trying again. because of how long it took to fall pregnant with our son we never thought for a second we'd fall pregnant first time trying.
to be honest when I heard people say your most fertile after having a baby I thought it was a load of c***.

Anyway i'm wondering because i'm due on my son's first birthday meaning only a year age gap would I have to have another section, or would they want me to do try for a vbac.
if i'm honest the idea of a vbac so soon kinda scares me.

I have heard that most doctors will not allow a vbac so soon after, but I have also heard others whose doctor is ok with it. I think it depends on your ObGyn and hospital policies. Have you asked them?

yea that's what I've heard, it's why I asked here, because I thought at least one person out of the thousands on here would have gone through something similar lol
I don't see my midwife until the 7th, and I still haven't heard from my consultant yet. so if I don't see my consultant before hand i'll ask my midwife.

My doc let me have a vba2c, so I figure he knows his stuff... The only thing he ever said about a vbac was that if I delivered within a year after a c- section I would need another c- section. But who knows what your doc'll say!

I ready quite a bit about how long you have to wait to fall pregnant again after a section and they say 18 months to 2 years.
I did speak to my doctor at my 6 week pp about trying again when my lb was 3 months, he gave the go ahead but never said anything about having to have another section.
I will defiantly be asking my midwife when I see though.

Hi I had an emcs with my daughter and I like u fell pregnant with my son when she was 3 months old. There are 51 weeks between the 2 of them. My doctor said that I could try for a vbac and that was the plan up until a few weeks before my due date where my scar became sore so it was advised that I had a planned c-section which I did. Whatever you decide just because u had/have 2 close together doesn't mean you don't get to choose between a vbac or a c-section. Congratulations on your pregnancy xx

This could not be more familiar to me LOL- OMG- I conceived 3 mos after having my twins and my son was delievered via c section 1 day before my twins 1st bday. I dont think you did anything wrong. I actually am NTNP. The midwives and Dr I consulted with both agreed that I could have done a VBAC with my last son. My last son was my 3rd c section. They say that because of the type of incisions and reasons I had the c sections- I could do a VBA3C. I would say- just do your research and do what you believe you can do. If you want a VBAC make sure you are knowledgable. Also just know- when I did my research the primary concern is uterine rupture but it shows that with a VBAC the chances are no more higher than if you had a c-section., both carry the same risk. But do your own research - talk to your doctors and midwives and make an informed decision. We are here to support you in that! There is also a thread under Labour and birth and its the first thread called VBAC. I went through it - lots of great information and links on there. Try this website "birth without fear" you will find a lot of true stories and women who experienced what you went through. No worries!!! XOXO

thank you, it helps knowing there are people out there who have been in the same boat.
i'm always worried about people judging me when they don't know the full story.
I will have a look at the VBAC thread.
I joined the birth without fear facebook group awhile ago but haven't posted anything on there yet x

Hey my son is 6.5 months and we're ttc again. I had an EMCS in April. We had an AWFUL experience, and I can't remember a thing which makes me so upset. So thats partly one of the reasons we're ttc again. Also, we're the same.. we want our children close in age!! I'm fully behind you on this one and 110% supportive. I'd love a VBAC I really would. but the idea does scare me.. lol. xxx
