Dull ache after checking position of cervix

I've only just started doing this (yesterday!) and I noticed both days that after checking, I have a dull ache/cramp in my cervix/that area after checking position/height/hardness/openness etc. Is that normal? Am I going about things too vigourously?

I have a little bit of a twinge after too, kinda like a post smear test feeling

I would say you're maybe being a bit harsh with it. Be gentle
