Okay so i am a first time mum who has decided to FF and have a few questions - they might be kind of dumb but please be patient with me as i have absolutley no idea about this stuf:blush:

*What do you do with your milk when it comes in if your not breastfeeding?
*Do you express it with a breast pump & if so can you give this milk to a baby who is being formula fed?
*If your not BF how long will you keep producing milk for?

Sorry if these are stupid questions, but if anyone can enlighten me it would be VERY much apreciated, as i am totally confused, lol:wacko:

*What do you do with your milk when it comes in if your not breastfeeding?
Wear breast pads and wait for it to dry up, or express and EBM feed.

*Do you express it with a breast pump & if so can you give this milk to a baby who is being formula fed?
I don't express, but yeah you can mix breast and formula (not together obviously but at different feed)

*If your not BF how long will you keep producing milk for?
I think it varies person to person. Mine dried up pretty quick, I think it was about a week maybe a week and half.

my breast milk is still there if i squeeze my nipples! But it never was dripping out! I used breast pads for the first week or two, i dont breast feed, i tried for 3 days but i have flat nipples so baby was getting frustreated so we gave up!

I didn't do anything, just wear a very supportive bra and leave your bobbies alone, avoid touching them, mine leaked like crazy if you touched them

*Do you express it with a breast pump & if so can you give this milk to a baby who is being formula fed?
I suppose you could do, but if your planning on FF why would you ?

*If your not BF how long will you keep producing milk for?
I did for about 6/7 weeks

Hope that helps x

Buy a decent bra & don't do anything.

Yes. I did this with my daughter. She mainly had expressed milk until my supply decreased. I also formula fed her. You might get abit of critisim from midwife & health visitor but if it's what you want to do, go for it!

I stopped expressing 3 weeks ago & it went within about 1 week.
