Just wondered whens the earliest you can put lo on our milk, formula is so expensive im not working, my maternity pay has stopped were struggling like hell many thanks

I think it's 12 months for cows milk

Yes, 12 months onwards for cows milk as a drink, but you can use cows milk in cereals/cooking/meals etc:flower:

I put LO on milk at 11.5 months with the advice of my HV but thats cos she went off her formula milk x

Would you be entitled to healthy start vouchers? If you are its £6.20 a week in vouchers that you can use towards formula (or fruit and veg).
Might be worth a look to see if you qualify x

My pediatrician said half milk half formula starting at 9 months then slowly wean them off

I found switching to cows milk no cheeper than formula untill she cut her milk intake right down. When she was drinking 20 oz a day it was costing around £4 a week in cows milk where as formula was costing £8 a tin but it was lasting two and a half weeks.

I was just thinking the same, using cows milk turns out no cheaper until they start dropping feeds!

well its a big no no now but I was put on cows milk at five months old after my mother developed bad mastitis and had to go to hosptial and I was fine and never had any issues but nowadays it seems to be 12 months

Yes, starting a baby on cow's milk early was a common thing years ago. I have of course followed the modern guidelines, but I know in my mother's family, they fed milk straight from the barn at quite an early age.
