Hiya ladies, Happy new year to you x x x x x x

I'm cd18, round 3 of clomid, AF dues next thursday. I've had all the abdominal pains around O time, but due to crappy hospital, i'm 'not allowed' to get my day 21 blood results (to see if i've released an egg) ti;l i see the FS end of Feb (and that's a separate issue!!!)

Question: what are these new crampy things going on now??!!! Abdominal pains, sometimes in the middle, sometimes to the left, or to the right, but there about 95% of the time. Is it too early for AF cramps??!!! i don't normally get AF cramps til maybe 2/3 days before, and although these feel similar, they're way too early. But then....is that clomid for you????

I had awful cramps last night, and on the off chance they were O pains (i've read somewhere that some ladies have O'd really quite late into cycle),we had a quicky (man,am i getting sick of them......lol)

Another thing....heartburn. mild. but enough to stop me in my tracks.

Ladies, am i reading into things?????? please be honest and say if i am!!!!

thanks x x x x

Grrr.....:hissy:

I was told that any pain around the abdomen or the ovary area was the Clomid stimulating the area.

I used to get mad ovulation pain. Ironically, since I went on Clomid, I have not had it once and have not ovulated once. Oh, correction, the first month I had excruciating pain around that area but since then, nothing.

So, yeah, it's just your ovaries being stimumated.

Jeez, wish it'd stimulate my brain as much as my ovaries lol!!! Have you been getting your results back then fairly sharpish?? I fell out with my consultant's secretary cos she wouldn't give me my results, reiterating that i must wait until Feb!!!!! i'd love to know if all the stimulation has resulted in an egg being released, kinda feel like we're widdlin in the wind....

I have no tests. No tests equal no results. My doctor 'trusted' me to test myself by temping which has revealed no temp shift at all. One day, my temp is 97.5, the next day it is 98.6, the next day it is 97.4, the next day it is 97.9 the next day 98...up, down, up, down, mostly down and definitely no thermal shift to note.

I have had to do it all on my own. Was given a 'review' four months to the day of my last appointment where I am to tell him whether or not Clomid has worked.

I can't help but feel I have wasted the last four months because I knew for a fact it was not working but could not get an appointment to point this fact out.

Late reply for you Mrs F but I agree with curlysue that its all clomid related. I was getting really bad period like pain from about 3 days before AF was due and nagging pains at other random times. This month has been better and I have had my bloods to confim that I did ovulate. Am due tomorrow but I did an early test 4 days ago which was a BFN and I have a feeling that this isn't our month again.

About your blood test results and sorry if this is useless advice but I don't understand why you can't get the results. Are you with the NHS? For me I can never get through on the phone as they are so under resourced but I just email the sister who emails me directly. The whole clinic is nurse led and I've only seen the consultant on my first appointment in June and never since. Any chance you could email the fertility nurse and ignore the consultant?

Good luck

Hi Mrs F, I'm not too far behind you on CD14 and also third round of clomid. I never felt any pain during my cycle until I went on clomid now I have twinges all the time and especially leading up to O and from them to AF arrives.

I get my 21 days bloods done at my GP then just phone the FC for the results. I also get my results from the nurses not the FS, most of the time I don't get through but I leave a message on the answer machine and they always get back to me the same day. Can you try the nurses, did you meet any of them at your first appointment who you can contact?

Good luck for this cycle.

i've had these pains too this cycle - 1st one on clomid and never had them before.....not sure when AF is coming but i tested yesterday and BFN.....thought it was meant to regulate my cycle and make it shorter but this is another long month so maybe i ovulated later and still have a chance :)

good luck ladies

Thankyou for your replies and thoughts ladies, means alot to know it's not just me!!!! Sorry there have been no BFP's yet though.

The results thing is an ongoing issue - it is with the NHS Millnsy, the fertility secretary (to my consultant) was really quite arsey and adament that she was not gonna give me my results and that i would have to wait for the consultant's appointment before i could get them. I have no idea if i've O'd! I had my day 21 bloods yesterday at the clinic and i was talking to the lovely nurse there about getting results back - she was fab! She wrote on my sample that a copy of results needs to go to my GP this time, so i can ring him on Monday for the results! Much better. I will be raising this at my next FS appointment as i think we have more than enough to deal with, without extra unnecessary stress.
