If you ovulated on CD9, is this far too early or is there still a chance for that cycle

As long as you BD'd during your fertile period, there's a chance! The length of your follicular phase isn't really important and can vary by a fair bit without it being any cause for alarm. The big issue is the length of your luteal phase.
