Early Return to Work

Hi All

Just a quesiton i'm not to clear on.....

My employer assumes I will take 52 weeks maternitu leave, however I do intend to return earlier (full time) at around 6 months.

I know I have to give 8weeks notice however can they refuse my return for any reason and force me to take the full 52 weeks??

I dont really want to let them know my plans before I leave as I want to keep my options open.

no they cant, just let them know when you want to come back, and thats that. x
