early scan at 4 weeks 6 days ... worried.

Hi,
I went in for a scan at 4 weeks 6 days. All that was visible was my gestational sac. After just seeing that, they went ahead & did a vag ultrasound so they could see more. Still, all they could see was a gestational sac. They couldnt even see a yolk sac. Should I be worried that I misscarried? Please be honest with me.

It sounds like you are just really early. Are you going back for another ultrasound?

Yes. I go back next Saturday the 12th. I will be 7 weeks 1 day then.

That is the problem with early scans is that they can cause a lot of worry. When you are that early even a few days can make a big difference. Did they do any bloodwork to see your levels? That is what they did for me so I knew if this was looking like a viable pregnancy early on.

That's all you would expect to see at 4+6. My scan at 5 weeks only showed gest sac and yolk. Don't worry sure Alls fine xxx

Don't worry, it's exactly what you'd expect considering how far you are. I had an U/S at 4 weeks 5 days and all you could see was the sac. I'm sure you'll see a nice baby with a heartbeat at your next U/S
