I had some bright red watery spotting over the weekend and so my RE did an ultrasound on Monday when I was exactly 6 weeks. It was super quick and not particularly thorough but we saw a gestational sac (15 by 4 - kind of bean shaped) and he said he could maybe see a yolk sac but couldn't tell for sure. No baby, no heartbeat, and I know it is early but today I'm not tired, don't feel any symptoms. I've had losses - and I feel like maybe it is happening again. EEEEEEeeeeek! I have another ultrasound scheduled for Monday. ..We'll see..........

Good luck horseypants. I really hope this one works out for you. X

There are any number of reasons why they can't see a baby at 6 weeks-position of the baby in the uterus, whether or not they did a vaginal ultrasound, a tilted uterus, measuring a little small, etc. Don't give up hope yet.

Hi ladies. The news is bad. No embryo. Empty sac measuring about a centimeter. This is my third loss. Sad day. Thanks for your well wishes it means a lot to me.

So sorry horsey. Hope you can get some answers as to why this keeps happening. Xx

So sorry hun, I've had 3 losses in 18 months 1 mmc saw heartbeat at 6+4 but at a scan at 11 weeks baby had gone, chemical at 5 weeks then in march this year I was 9+5 and told my husband something was wrong I was scanned 3 days later and my babies heart had stopped at 9+4. I've had full bloods done which all came back normal. It's frustrating not knowing why our babies died. If your in the uk go to your gp and ask for full testing to be done x

Vixie I sm
In the uS but have done some and will do more. I'm sorry for what you've gone through. It is horrible. I woke up wishing it was a bad dream.

I had tests for thyroid function, liver function, blood clotting disorders and lots more. There were 16 things they tested me for but all came back normal. You will get through this x

Hi Hun,

The ladies from our IUI group alerted me that some thing was up with you & I found you! I am so, so sorry. I wish there was some thing I could do to help you. It's a horrible feeling & horrible moment. I know. We all know too well.
Whats the protocol? Are the doctors going to wait for you to miscarry or give you meds to get the process going?

*sigh* why so many bad news from our ladies?!

Hey Barbikins. I'm not sure what I'm going to do. The doctors are recommending that I give it a week (I know my body wont recognize it is over - even if it does, it could very well be months of on and off bleeding) and then do a d&c, but I dont want a second d&c. Ive heard horrible things about the pills. So sad today. Thank you for checking up on me. What's happened with the others? :(

I'm so sorry - I can't say anything else to make you feel better because you won't.

When they do D&C isn't it just with the vac? No meds? I know there's a meds version you can take too.

Well you know I had a MC & so did Amoch. I hope that's it. It's just awful.

I would wait the week and see if there is any change if you don't you might always doubt your decision. I would say have the d&c. My first mc I had d&c minimal bleeding after not soreness etc, second was a chemical and I misscarried naturally. My 3rd and most recent I took the pills and my god I wasn't ready for that pain!! I was 9 +4 when baby passed. My waters broke and the pain was really bad. I bled so much I was given and injection to slow it down. I cried for 8 hours none stop. My husband was so upset not only had our baby died but he watched me go through it all and saw our baby. If I could turn the clock back I would have had another d&c. Try to be positive hunny and remember we're all in this together and all here for you xxxx

So sorry to hear that horseypants! I've had six mc and I know it's not easy not knowing why it keeps happening. I've been tested for thyroid function, rH factor, clotting disorders, and I'm not even sure what else. We know my progesterone levels aren't as high as they should be in my first tri so I'm on a progesterone supplement but we also know I have something else going on. Blah...The not knowing why is the worst part. Good luck and I hope you get some answers!
