early weaning (please don't attack me!!!)

My little girl is 15 weeks and I have started to give her a few mouthfuls of porridge. She was having 35oz per day and is over 17lbs. She has taken less milk the last 2 days but has a cold, I dont know if she is taking less milk because of the porridge or because of her cold. Has anyone else weaned their baby early? X

I've just started my LO she is 18 weeks with a wee bit of the baby rice each day

She has reflux and is only taking 2ozs a feed sometimes I just give a couple spoons each day she loves it lol
The doctor told me tho aslong as there is any wet nappies and poo ones she is fine but also said until the ounces r up to try her with the rice one a day
She doesn't like it when it's cold lol
How does ur LO deal with it ? Is she eating it ? Weaning is hard going sometimes lol

My LO is 16 weeks today. We have been giving him baby porridge for a week now. Just a few spoonfuls in the morning and he loves it. He drinks 8 ounches every 3 hours during the day. Goes to bed between 7 and 8pm and sleeps till 6-7 am. Last weigh in he was 13.14.

At the end of the day it's your Lo and you do what u feel is best for them. When my LO had a cold he didn't seem to drink as much probably 5-6ozs each bottle. He soon made up for it x

She loves it! Hasnt pooed in 2 days though so have given her a bit of water today, my friend said her baby was the same. Its nice to know I'm not the only one! xd

Yeah wee bit of water will do the trick.

Back When we started on gaviscon my wee woman got a little constipated and water worked . Hope it does for u too x

We were told to start Rio early because of his reflux and he took to it great. But we were also told that his milk intake shouldn't go down and if it does to give less solids. But saying that he has never taken that amount. He was on around 28oz a day x
