Hi everyone,

I have my little on on Cow and Gate 1 at the moment, he is suffering really badly with bottom wind so I have started to use Dr Browns bottles and Colief. I'm just wondering if it could be be C & G. I have heard good reports about Aptamil being closest to breast milk so was wondering if that would be easier for him to digest and result in less wind?

I'd be grateful for any opinions!!

We use aptimal and dr brown. It is meant to be easier than Cow and gate but all babys are different. I have had no problems on aptimal. She has been on stage 1 , comfort and stage 2.

If you're having wind problems it could be worth checking out either Cow and Gate or Aptamil Comfort. I've found it in bigger Sainsbury's and Asda stores :) xx

I found that Aptamil 1 and C&G 1 were the same TBH. My LO had problems with painful bottom wind, and found two solutions. The first is cool boiled water, a little (up to 1oz) each day. The second is easy digest (comfort) formula, which is made in both brands.

It's best to talk to your HV before switching to comfort formula though because it's thicker and more filling. This may mean your LO has less which could affect their weight gain.
