Safe to say I'm bawling my eyes out after tonight's cliffhanger.....Anyone else?

I don't normally watch it, but just turned it over and ended up watching. I'm a sucker for weddings! I assumed she was practically full term by the size of her - was surprised to learn she was 11 weeks off her due date! Why was he saying it was all his fault at the end?

Yeah I only watch it occasionally, have been watching the last couple of episodes.... Erm I think it's cos he stole Jeans money and it's all a big palava that's put janine under stress so maybe that's why? Maybe someone else could give you a better insight cos like I say, not been watching it all! X

God, I was in tears. Had horrible reminders of my little mans birth - although he was overdue, he was whisked off to NICU and wasn't breathing when he was born. So it was horrible!!!!! Wish I hadn't watched it now!! Xx

It made me cry too!! Hope she survives.

Her husband stole someone's money and lied about it, made this woman out to be a nutter and it really stressed Janine out.. I was crying.. Also hate the fact that I'm made to feel sorry for the woman! Haha

Horrible :( i was really upset

i assumed baby was near term as she was HUGE!

Oh no! I thought this storyline wasn't going to happen! Poor Janine :(

yep me too - took me right back to when that happened with both my girls

He said it was his fault cos he swore on his baby's life he didn't steal Jeans money when he did.

I was in floods too, whilst my boy wasnt in as serious condition I still didn't see him when he was born and they only tears I had were of worry xx

anybody know if janine ever divorced ryan???? she signed the certificate as butcher but im sure she's still a maloy

I got a bit upset watching it, took me right back to that operating theatre right down to asking why the baby wasn't crying, I remember sobbing saying this.

I hope this is depicted well and Janine isn't seen pushing her baby around the square in a weeks time as the journey is a lot longer than that even for later premmies. Though Corrie portrayed it realistically with Fizz's baby so hopefully Easties scriptwriters have done their research too.

I recorded this on sky + and just watched it - omg so sad. My first lo wasn't premature but they did whisk her straight off to scbu without me seeing her when she was born and I remember laying in theatre (after the c section) feeling numb. I didn't know why they'd taken her or what was wrong.

Like a lot of you have said, really hope they've done their research and do the storyline justice seeing as its something so many families go through and will bring a lot of memories back to a lot of people.

X

I only watch it very rarely.

Last time I watched Eastenders was about 2 months ago and I remember thinking then 'has Janine not had that baby yet??' She was huge for months!!! Need to catch up on it now!:flower:

I'm avoiding the show at present - knew the storyline was coming up and it's far, far too close for comfort when things are still pretty raw from our own stay in the NICU

Gosh I think Corrie did a rubbish job, especially the NICU - it was open to everyone and no-one washed their hands, they just wandered in with coats on :haha: Their baby seems to have no problems either given the length of prematurity, so i dont think the aftermath was portrayed well at all. We live a life of worrying about milestones and health issues, most of us dont carry on as norm!

A little close to home for me to, although I felt compelled to watch it.

My little lady was born 10 weeks early and it brought it all back. I too hope that they do a good job of the storyline. I have heard it doesn't end happily, I really hope that's not true.

I would like an inspirational storyline with the evil Janine turning good following her NICU journey.

Actually you're probably right, I just remember her being in hospital for ages which I thought was true to life but actually come to think of it she's had no delays mentioned or any other medical probs has she  and you're right even for me with a later premmie the worry is constantly there. I didn't pay too much attention to the coats and washing hands thing as at the time, I had no knowledge of the subject to look out for it. I'll certainly be keeping my eye out this time, I'll probably end up shouting at the telly

Freya wasn't on nicu but was on icu at two weeks old but same sort of procedures apply and I know what you mean. But every hospital story line in every soap I pick to pieces cause I'm a nurse ha ha.

Charlie brook who plays her was on this morning a few month back saying she was taking a few months off to spend with her daughter and was saying about if they go off together/separate/ what happens to the baby!!! So there's gonna be more to come! Urgh!
