Jack got a train and t-shirts
Got choccie from Grandad and 3 little eggs from us

But i make sure they are always grateful for what they get, if not they get nothing!!!!

We are the same, the minute things are not appreciated then there will be no treats or pressies, simple!

I will be the same with madam too. nothing worse than a spolit brat. :hissy:

Corr you can say that again KX.....My older sister's kid were and the youngest one still is awful, it was the eldest one that put me off having kids, as I thought all kids were like him, honestly spoilt is an understatement and bad behaved.....well, I wont even go there!:hissy:

Funny that Tam cause my nephew is the same-he got 3 xbox 360 games for Easter and we always feel obliged to buy him something expensive (I know we shouldn't!) ahhh :hissy:

when Dior was only a feww months old for easter last year we just got her a bunny teddy.

That is just wrong we are made to feel like that innit......people should feel ashamed!

Not in the religious capacity obviously, but I totally agree with you Dionne, to me it is about eggs for KIDS and nothing more (unless too young or they don't have chocolate) and for them to get mucky and enjoy it......where do these other people find the cheek to ask or make it clear they want more from us (than the cost of an egg), surely it is up to us whether we buy other things for people but no way should it be expected of us, that is just wrong!

here is Harley now eating Diors eggs out of her bucket she will go mad when she gets in lol

easter is suppsed to celebrate the rezerection of jesus its a hwole big catholic thing and easter is i think the first celebration to feast of treats after the 40 day fast thing (no eating) dunno if im wrong but its something along they lines anyway and the easter egg was a symbole of the bolder that jesus supposed to have moved or something

*runs away now before the sky falls on me*

Before the egg became closely entwined with the Christian Easter, it was honored during many rite-of-Spring festivals. The Romans, Gauls, Chinese, Egyptians and Persians all cherished the egg as a symbol of the universe. From ancient times eggs were dyed, exchanged and shown reverence.

With the advent of Chrisianity the symbolism of the egg changed to represent, not nature's rebirth, but the rebirth of man. Christians embraced the egg symbol and likened it to the tomb from which Christ rose.

A bit of info for ya ;) I did have to google it

It is if u allow ur children chocolate! I dont, my nutter is crazy enuf without chocolate

i was not digging at you hun:hugs:

#its just times like this when kids compete i remeber at school kids were getting computers and all sorts for easter and then we were putting the presure on my mum. so i prefer the 3 for £3 easter eggs lol if not a egg then a easter bunny buscuit or teddy

I know ur not hun :hugs: Im just fcuked off with Im The Daddy who was

See I dont celebrate Easter in the christian sense, it was originally as Tam was saying a pagan celebration celebrating the start of spring (hence why its celebrated on a different day each year depending on the moons position - not very christian) Hence eggs and bunnys etc which are symbols of fertility. I like it cause it gets you in the mood for the summer months, and new birth and new life in nature etc.

Christmas is a bit more pointless really if your not christian, although this is also taken from pagan and other ancient tradtions that got converted to christianity.

So we have fun without stuffing our faces with cocolate, we do egg painting and egg hunts, and have it all family time, visiting parents etc, we had OHs mum and partner round today and tomorrow we are at my mums for dinner with my brother and his family, my gran and aunt.
