hi
to avoid, raw eggs, uncooked meat and shell fish and unpaastuerised milk products, I'd choose the bold dishes!!

Sounds like a posh place!! They tend not to think about pregnant ladies!
Or you could as for a dish to be modifed!
good luck and enjoy
:hugs:
x

I agree with the PP. I went somewhere with a very similar menu during my last pregnancy and they were very happy to modify the menu for me :)

Mmm, sounds yummy! I am going to a party at a restaurant next weekend and have no idea what I'm going to eat... everything seems to contain cured meats or things that I really don't like, like sardines (yuck!). Can't even mention my pregnancy to the restaurant staff on the night, as nobody at the meal knows I am pregnant :dohh:

I wouldn't worry to much, I ate some scallops yesterday and rare steak, I just forgot. Your not really anymore likely to fall ill with something more than you usually would. People do far worse in pregnancy than have a could of mouthfuls of not recommended food!

I have no doubt you're right... the chances of contracting anything must be so so incredibly slim.

Saying that, it's more the effect it has on my mind sometimes. I remember eating something a bit naughty a few weeks ago (I forget what it was now... a runny egg I think) and I felt so guilty afterwards! Kept saying to my husband "I shouldn't have done that" over and over again lol! I think I torture myself mentally sometimes!

All that food looks yummy yummy!! I have tried when eating out to 'keep it simple' for myself and go places with quite basic menus. I still enjoy ala carte etc but just dont try to limit myself by going somewhere that I know might limit me...if that makes any sense haha

Saying that...took my son to Pizza hut for his birthday, as simple as you like haha, and now I cant have the blue cheese sauce that I only fell in love with over Xmas DOH!!

Sounds delicious!
All of the main courses are fine. The starters are a bit more tricky, I'd go for either the hot smoked salmon or the soup. Most of the desserts are fine, but the cheese platter is bound to have stuff you can't eat on it (you could ask them to do you one with no brie/camembert style cheese though) and the mousse is likely to contain raw eggs since it is a posh place. Ditto the ice cream. Creme brulee is safe

I would probably say:

provided steak is well done and not rare.

but probably fine if you ask for hard cheese only

From the menu it sounds like a really nice place you are going to .. Enjoy!

I'd avoid the cheese plate, I think everything else looks fine.

I'd avoid the cheese plate, and perhaps the chicken liver parfait? Other than that, looks fine x
