EBF baby's funky poop diaper while on vacation (so not near dr)- advice please!!!

Hey mamas,

Poo related but baby is EBF. I apologize if wrong forum!


we're on vacation with our just about 16 week old and he just had a sorta funky colored diaper. Instead of his normal color it was kind of a dull greenish color with some normal color mixed in.

Could this just be something different/new that I ate affecting his poo or should I be concerned? He's acting just fine and I'm making sure he eats more when we're out since its a little hotter than home down here so that he doesnt dehydrate...

the still-relatively-new-mama in me wants to find a pediatrician down here but the rest/majority of me is saying to relax.

I would probably just try to make sure he is emptying the breast of hind milk and maybe offer a little water if it is hot so he doesnt dehydrate.

There is no need to offer water, breastmilk has all they need. However if its hot your body may produce more foremilk and this can cause slightly greenish poo, please don't worry xx

I wouldn't offer water - I know how bad that could be for him. I wasn't sure if the change in poo could be a sign of dehydration though. He's being offered boob a LOT while wwre out during the day tho.

Maybe it is just a change in hind/fore milk and its just coincidental timing..
