Ectopic Pregnancy Question

I think I may be having an ectopic pregnancy, but wanted to ask you ladies that had one before what you thought. I am 13DPO now, so don't know if it's too early, but yesterday I started getting a slight dull pain in my left side (side I ovulated on I think) and today it is getting worse. I got a very faint, but pink line BFP on FRER at 7DPO. I tested every day and it seemed to get slightly lighter or stay the same, so no real progress (even today the line is barely there). At 9DPO I had some brown/ pink spotting plus a small bright red clot with a bit or red blood (nothing major though). Today I got a bit of pink earlier and some brown now. (AF is due tomorrow.) Does it sound like it could be ectopic or am I worrying for nothing?

If you are concerned you need to see doctor; they can check for ectopic apparantly it is very painful. As to the spotting and the line fading I have no idea what it all means as I don't do that to regularly I would be stressing constantly.

It may be nothing to worry about, but contact your GP if you are worried. xx

i think you should get ur beta hcg tested; check the levels and get it done again in the next 48 hours.. thats what they did with me.. plus an u/s will show if there is any mass near the ovary or tube..

do not worry and be positive... its possible that its too early..

the pain could be a cyst from the previous cycle as well

I left a message with the nurse for now, but haven't heard back yet. My temp dropped under coverline this morning, so I'm not sure if that means it was a chemical or if it could still be ectopic.

an ectopic is best checked on scan.. keep your fingers crossed..

I agree with getting scanned (recently had an ectopic myself). But also consider that some of the first things you'll feel in early pregnancy are the ligaments stretching from your illiac crests, so the aches are coming from the same area you'd be concerned to feel ectopic pain from. You also *probably* wouldn't be feeling pain from an ectopic yet. But if you are concerned, ruling it out with an ultrasound is definitely the way to go. Praying all is fine for you!!!!!

I've been to the doctor and they said my hcg wasn't high enough to be ectopic. They didn't do a scan. I'm now getting nausea, heartburn, and have been extremely tired, but hcg is still apparently not climbing. I'm going to try going to the clinic on Wednesday to see if they'll repeat the blood hcg to see what's going on. :(

Hey hun I didn't want to read and run. I have had an ectopic pregnancy and believe me your hcg still would be rising even if you had an ectopic. The day I started bleeding I went and got a beta and my hcg levels had even gone up in 48 hours. Even after bleeding. I started to get pain around 6 weeks.
I do suspect a chemical pregnancy in your case. Not an ectopic.
I also think it is way to early for you to even detect an ectopic. The baby is barely implanted in the tube at 13dpo and has not had time to grow at all to cause pain.
I would certainly get a scan though. But It really sounds like a chemical.
Sorry hun. My heart hurts for you.

IF you are concerned (if you aren't then it's probably not as big a deal), I'd still ask for a scan. One of the reasons my OB didn't catch my ectopic is because my hCG levels dropped in half initially and stayed pretty low (instead of fluctuating on the upper end like they often do with ectopic).

ETA- wait, I forgot that you are still pretty early. I agree with the PP, you aren't likely to see anything yet anyway.
