Ectopic?

Hey mamas! Anyone on here had an ectopic or know someone who did? Did your/their tube rupture or was it caught in time?

I'm having mild cramping on my far right side, and just started spotting. Because it's after clinic hours, my MW would like to see me in the morning, assuming things don't get worse. I don't know a whole lot about ectopic pregnancies, aside from the basics, and am not finding much more in my internet searches. Any help you can supply is much appreciated!! Xx

My second pregnancy last year was an ectopic which resulted in surgery. I started spotting about 5 and a half weeks but I struggled to get an EPU appointment (I needed a DRs appointment for a referral) until I was exactly 8 weeks. Other than the spotting/light bleeding I had no other symptoms of an ectopic. No pain, nothing. My tube didn't rupture but I was scheduled for surgery for later in the day and had my tube and the pregnancy removed. I imagine if it had been left much longer it would have ruptured.

It does help! Thank you so much!! I booked a scan for tomorrow. I guess we'll see if my dates are right and if baby is in good placement. Did you have your hcg drawn before surgery? Mine (as of today) is at 7,785.

I had bloods taken but I was never told what my hcg levels were. I think that with ectopics hcg levels struggle to rise. I hope everything is okay.
