ECV, Section - UPDATE 1st Post - Good & Bad News!

dont google !!!!
big mistake !!!
if baby was head up when you measured 32cm and is now head down and yr measuring 30cm its his shift in position thats caused yr measurement to change the head sticks out more when babys breech making yr bump seem bigger my mw told me that.
so he hasnt shrunk. there is no way they would leave you till yr scan next week if they thought he was in any danger at all hun i know yr worried but try and remember that. he will probably just be a small baby.
so pleased hes head down for you at least thats one less thing to worry about x x

^^ Yeah what she said! I have little faith in the fundal height measurement. My MW does it so quickly and I am sure she starts from a slightly different place on my public bone every time. Even if done accurately there is something like a 6-8cm tolerance.
I seem to have come across so many times, a woman being told her baby is HUGE and then is born 7lbs....and others being told their baby is small for dates and then being 9lbs!

Glad your bubs has turned, let's hope my Squiggle gets the same message soon!

I wouldn't worry too much about the fundal height (as others have said). Mine was 36 at 34 weeks but have been told my baby is average size - I know this for sure because due to my confusing illnesses and GD (I still don't think I have GD, blood sugar is only ever high after breakfast - and only as high as my GTTs) I get a growth scan every 2 weeks.

It's cool to see my LO so often, Ixxy was up to an estimated 4.5lbs last time and I have my next on friday. Mine is kinda the other way around - to see if the GD will result in a big baby and thus need early induction or elective section.
They literally measure the head and the tummy and give you a rough estimate. My baby hates ultrasounds these days now it feels the pressing and probably the vibrations in the fluid.

Up until the third tri I did measure small, so it can change. I do feel very lucky not to have had the breech-scare like you did though :(. Mine's been head-down since about 29 weeks, can't belive it hasn't swished back!
