What date do you go by? I have always gone by LMP like midwives do but I'm not too sure now as I also know the date of ovulation/conception as I monitored it with opk's and basal temp charting so I know when i concieved, is that date more accurate than LMP? if I go by conception it puts me back 3 days, so I'm either 4w5d based on LMP or 4w2d based on conception! I have an early scan in a fortnights time but I'm just curious to know.
Plus all these online edd calculators can be confusing when it asks average cycle length when mine can differ anywhere between 28 to a 32 day cycle

I would just go by lmp at this point because that is what your dr will do. Then when you have your early scan you will know not to freak out if you are measuring all little behind and they will adjust your due date by the scan. Congrats!

I've done exactly what she said, I've gone by LMP as doctors aren't concerned with ovulation date, but I'll make sure not to freak out if I get put back a little :flower:

Like kel said, I am sticking with the EDD the midwives are going with based on LMP which is the 2nd of November but I know when I ovulated and based off of that my EDD is the 6th. I'm going to stick with the midwife one until they change it based off my measurements at my 12 weeks scan but I am having a private 8 week scan tomorrow and I know that I probably won't measure 8+2 like I should, it is more likely to be around 7+4 based off of ovulation so I won't panic about measuring 'small'

Thanks ladies i have always gone by LMP but i know a lot of woman also go by ovulation either way there could be a 3 day difference when I get my measurements done so I won't freak out if they put me back x

I went by my lmp and ended up 3 days ahead. It all depends! It could go either way! :)

I went by ovulation and was measuring fine at my first scan.

I went by ovulation, according to my lmp I should have been 12+4 today but scan confirmed I'm only 11.

I'm seeing my midwife April 2nd, but going by ovulation. I had a longer cycle than normal...usually 37 days, but ovulated cd32 (Feb 14th) for some reason, and didn't get my positive test til Feb 28th.(cd46) So, according to LMP (Jan 14th), I would be 9w6d. By ovulation, 7w3d. Being off by a few days doesn't matter(happened with my first) so I wouldn't worry:)

Im going by what i think at the moment which is 7+3.
By lmp i'd be 7+5
By early scan im 7.

Whatever edd i get at 12wk scan will be date ill follow. x

I was charting too, and I didn't ovulate until CD23 so I went by ovulation. I know it's not a popular thing to do, but I lied to my midwife about my LMP, to make 8 days later so that it was in line with "average" ovulation. I wouldn't have done it if I was just having the normal dating scan at 12 weeks, but I knew I was having an early scan at 6 weeks because I conceived using Clomid, and I didn't want the worry of them telling me my baby was measuring behind when I knew it was because I'd ovulated later.
