Edible Tree?

I need to figure out how to make a dogwood tree for an eeyore cake I am making. I have an eeyore figurine and I am making his house out of pretzels but no clue how I should go about making the tree. I want it to be as life like as possible. My main problem is the branches and how to attach them to the trunk. I would like it to be as edible as possible.

You can buy wire and then make a tree and wrap fondant around it. I am not sure what else would work. I think I have been watching too much Cake Boss.

Lol. He made a tree on one of his cakes in this series I think it was the air balloon cake! I love his cakes

I think I am just going to get a dollhouse tree and put it on top.
