EFW (Estimated Fetal weight)

I had my 27wk health and wellbeing scan yesterday, and also for them to check and see how my cervix and stitch is holding up.

All of the babies results came back perfect and they gave me an estimate on their weight etc.

Twin 1 Brooke'e EFW was 1kg 96grams (2lb 7oz) and she meassures spot on with her EDD of July 26th.

Twin 2 Michael's EFW was 1.3kgs (2lb 14oz) and came back large for gestational age giving him an EDD of July 17th.

Now they were conceived through IVF so I know there exact conception date and due date.

My concern is that my single pregnancies came early between 37wks and 38wks, so with Michael's size and the fact I am having two, I am now wondering if I will go early and how early I will go.

What were your bubs EFW at around 27-28wks?

Chloe and Jaycee's EFW were 2lbish each and I had them 2 weeks later at 29 weeks and 6 days!

But that doesnt mean its gonna happen to you or that they are going to be early. I think I would be worried if they were in the 3lb mark then you could worry..

I cant tell you whether your gonna go into labour but I hope you hang on

My target is to get to 30wks, then focus on getting to 33, then 35. The ultimate goal is 38wks.

I am just focusing on baby steps, so 1st step is 30wks, so 2wks 4days till I reach that target.

My main goal was 38 too! I made it, plus two weeks..Went to term! They were healthy as could be too. I usually go right around my due date, and I thought for sure that these guys would come earlier, but, nope..they were just too comfy!

At 28wks, my girls were 2.3 and 2.4 lbs each.

My goal is 34wks, then 36wks, then at 38 wks, I will be induced if they are not here yet.

I will also be induced at 38wks, my OB won't let me go any longer.

My 1st target of 30wks is because they will have a good fighting chance. My next target is 33wks because my local private hospital won't let me deliver there under 33wks. Then I will focus on 35wks cause then I know they will be ok. Although 38wks would be Ideal, but I don't think I will hold on that long. My singles came at 37-38wks all 3 of them so I tend to usually go early.

Guess I will just have to wait and see, I will be so happy to make it to 35wks.

At 26+1 twin one was 948g and twin two was 934g. so about 2ib 2oz ish.
I am now at 37+4 weeks with the babies weighing 6ib6oz and 6ib2oz 2 weeks ago!
I am not being induced until 39+1, unless they come before then!
Good luck and like the others say break it all down and then ever block is a milestone xxxx

Had a scan last week at 26 weeks, twin 1 was 1lb 15oz and twin 2 was 1lb 11oz. I've been told that I will be induced at 37 weeks so my aim is to get to 37 - not contemplating the idea of them coming earlier. Hoping that if i dont think about it, it wont happen! My goal is to get them to at least 5lb each for birth,(I dont think they'll be too big as my son was only 6lb 10oz as a full term singleton) anything more will be a bonus!
