Ok so I'm in 2 minds about c section. I'm considering having a c section as I got diagnosed with a virus early on in pregnancy and since then I have wanted a c section plus I have genital warts  ... It's a personal choice of mine but there's downsides to it for me I think... I don't really want to stay in hospital for a long period of time so I no ill be trying to get better quick! Anyone else in 2 minds?

I am - i had a c-section first time due to breech baby- I had dreamed of an 'all natural' earth mother style birth beforehand! This time it's still early days but i'm not sure which way I want to go. xxx

I am in the same boat, ELCS due to breech when all I had dreamt about was a natural birth. Now I am scared that I will try for a natural birth and end up with an EMCS :nope:

i was in 2 minds, my first was because needed to get him out. i rele didnt know, i was so scared id be panicing about her all thru labour and end up with an emcs. As my first section wasnt bad at all, i recovered rele well etc, i just didnt know. However, now this baby is having the same problems as the last and im unfavourable for any sort of induction i have to have another c section......in a way its a relief to know i dont have a decision to make. but, given the choice i wud have opted to try for a vbac if things were fine......ultimately i hadnt made my mind up, but rele was 50/50!
there isnt a right decision.....its ur choice

Go with your gut instinct. I tried VBAC with my second baby but I went way overdue and when the drs started talking about induction something in me kept saying I didn't want induced, but I couldn't explain why. So I asked for another ELCS and my son was born weighing 10lb8. All the drs and midwives said there's no way I'd have delivered him naturally and would have ended up with an EMCS.

I had to have an emergency section with my daughter because she was too big, she was back to back and she wasnt coming down any, she was 9lbs 6oz. i have opted for an elective c-section and i am having growth scans... although i too keep going back and forth about my options. where i'd love to have a natural birth, i just dont see it happening :( this boy is huge already, i already feel full term! i know for a fact he is going to be way over 9lbs, and i honestly dont think i'll be able to push him out! i long to go into labour by myself again and go through the whole experience again but im terrified because i'll end up having another EMCS! i think i'll go with the elective section in the end, but my minds playing tricks on me:/ x

It's tough....as my breech son was only a 'semi-emergency' (my waters broke at 35+5) I had a relatively good experience and my recovery was good too.... I sometimes feel I got off quite lightly when I hear about some of my friends natural birth experiences!

i have had more time to get used to the idea of my section and i hvae accepted it and finally happy with it. i am so unfavourable for induction i think i wud go overdue and they wont induce so i would have a section anyway, far rather one now than wait another 3 weekss
