As I have started expressing (and plan to continue for when i go back to work) Do u think it is worth while me buying an electric breast pump??? ATM I have a tommee tippee manuel one which works great but are eletric ones worth the investment??

I have had both, I really actually loved my manualone, but I didn't use it much. If you plan to take breaks at work and pump and use it more often I think I would invest in a double electric one so it takes less time out of your day at work. I had an Ameda Purely Yours that I loved, it was great

I've never used manual so I couldnt say but I do like my Medela Swng which I have taken to work. I suppose when you have an electric if you are pumping at lunch time you can kind of forget about it and use the other hand to read, eat or surf the net so time is being used for sometime else too.
:D

I find manual ones hard work and if u plan to express for awhile i would say an electric one is a great investment xx

I only usd an electric one and i couldnt imagine having to do all the work with a manual one.

i have never used a manual one but have a double electric one that someone has lent me (its quite an expensive medela one tho) and i have to say it is great i got 4oz in about 5 mins this morning. really simple to use too
you could always try hireing one?

I spent a fiver on a manual from savers and it did the job till i broke it lol. 4oz in 5 mins of one boob

Just looked in to pum hire from NCT and its really expensive!!! U could buy one for the price of 2 weeks hire!!

electric one hurt me so badly I am never using it again or a pump. It was agony to get out a drip. Apparetl the manual ones arnt sore. The electric one is like a hoover on the end of your boob.
