taylorxx...just wondering if there has been any change with your prolactin level and if youve been able to conceive? i have prolactin levels in the 200s without meds...i have been on bromocriptine for a while now and its going down, but last we checked it was still in the 90s. my level is elevated bc of a benign tumor in my pituitary gland. they diagnosed this by taking an mri. anyhow im ttc and knew it would take some time.... i do not ovulate and have never had a period on my own (only when i was on bc). i joined this forum to find others with the same problem to give me some hope of conceiving. i would love to hear if you have something new to share. hope all is well for you!
I haven't gone back for any blood tests yet. My family doctor will not give me another one as he thinks nothing is wrong, but my other doctor is concerned and is going to get me an mri. My levels were only 56, but tumors/cancer is very common in my family so they want to get it checked out. I haven't been able to conceive yet, but OH and I missed our fertile window last cycle.
I've heard Vitex is supposed to lower prolactin and help balance your hormones. I'm taking soy isoflavones (it's the only thing they makes me ovulate normally and have a 30 day cycle) so I can't take vitex. I find whenever I take soy, I don't get the discharge! It's weird. I'd look into vitex and ask your doctor about it to see what he says. There's tons of information on the web that you could print out. A lot of women on bnb take vitex. Hope you get your bfp very soon, PM me sometime xx
