Ellen, Elin, Elyn

Hi guys,

I'm 20 weeks and find out in less than a week whether we're on team pink or blue. We have decided on Ellen for a little girl what are you ladies opinions on this name and which spelling do you prefer? I am swinging towards Elyn I think.

I like Elin. Its the welsh version of Ellen. Just think it looks cuter! We wanted to use it as a second name for our girl but DH's cousin just named her baby that!

I would say Ellen. Elin and Elyn when I first saw them, I thought they would be pronounced ee-lyn.

I prefer more modern names... but Ellen is sweet. I like the traditional spelling but Ellyn is nice too... and can always have "Elly" as a nickname too, if she wanted someday!

I agree that Elyn or Elin would be pronounced "ee-lynn" like Tiger Woods's wife's name
