may be getting ahead of ourselves but since talking about ttc #3 we have messed about talking about names and we both really like Elliot for a Girl..

we live in the UK so its a bit of a weird one as its a boys name. we would have a girly middle name like Grace or Lily..

Just thinking of opinions on it

Sorry but I don't think this would work. Certain masculine names can sound feminine IMO like Ryan turned to "Rianne" or something but I think Elliot is just too masculine sounding

I'm not in the UK, like previous poster I also think of Scrubs but I don't see her character as a bad thing so to me, the Scrubs reference helps it "go". Because other than her, I don't think I've heard Elliott for a girl before. It has some super feminine nickname options which is cool, I like it.

I love for a boy,but not a girl

this was what I was thinking, can be made feminine with names like Elle or Ellie.

I know its not to everyones taste but I love it!!

Boys names for a girl is a guilty pleasure for me, I love them but I would never use it- hubby says no anyway! I love Elliot for a girl, and also Rory.

I am not in the UK but I personally love the name Elliot for a girl. Elliot Grace has a lovely sound to it.

Love it! I actually think I prefer it on a girl than a boy if I am honest. I definitely don't think its too masculine.

I'm not big on boy names for girls but I actually love Elliott for a girl and have since Scrubs came out! I would definitely spell it with the double t ending though as it looks more feminine to me. Plus Ellie is an easy nn and is very feminine.

I'm not keen for a girl, I think probs because it's quite popular for a boy at the mo. But if u really love it then u should go for it. Like u said, it had feminine nicknames and paired with a super feminine middle name it would soften its masculinity 👍🏻

It isn't a name I would use for a girl (or a boy, actually) but I think it could definitely work for a girl. If you like it, go for it!

I think it would make a lovely girls name, it always sounded feminine to my ears anyway. Could 'girl' it up by spelling it differently? Elliotte? Elliette? I dunno...something like that.

I have a young female cousin called Dylan, so boys names for girls seem to be getting common.

I actually love the name Elliot for either sex but I prefer it on a girl

I love it, because of scrubs! My dh said no to putting it on girls list though.

I think a different spelling could help make it more feminine. Or go for a similar unisex name like Ellis

I like it for a girl; I didn't even know Elliot was a boys name on scrubs until someone mentioned it to the character on the show. That being said, now I also think of an annoying boy Elliot character on a different show when I hear the name.

I love it !!!! One of my favourite names for a girl !! Would have had it for one of my twins if they were girls !!
