What are your thoughts on the name? I love how it sounds, but not how it looks. It's the first name my husband and I have found common ground on this time!

Is it common near you? Unheard of? Would you know how to spell it without asking? Etc...

Thanks!

I agree, I love how it sounds but not how it looks. I'd know how to spell it though and would think most people would be able to spell/pronounce correctly seeing as its an outdated older generation name.
Too back there's not really any other spellings that could work...
And I think it's the letter O that makes it look odd.

I love that's it's the kind of name that's good for an adult, teen, toddler, or baby. So sweet!

I love Eloise, one of my favourites. :) I would know how to spell it for sure, I don't know anyone with the name but I wouldn't say it's unheard of, either. A nice balance, I think!

I know a 40yo with the name and an 8mth old - it works on both of them! I have no issue with the spelling at all. Lovely :)

I like it! I don't think it would be too hard to spell, and a name that most people would have heard of even if they didn't know that many people with that name. My only concern would be that she'd end up as one of many Ellies or similar as a nn.

I really like it too, I went to school with an Eloise and she's the only one I've ever known with them name - I remember her because of the name! I have a friend who has a girl called Heloise xxx

It's such a cute name! It's familiar to me because of the children's book. Do you have ideas for a middle name?

No middle names for sure. We'd possibly do something in memory of my mother-in-law, which I think would be lovely, but my husband isn't sure how he'd feel about it long-term. He still struggles with the loss, understandably, so it's totally his call if we go in that direction. Another option is to do something floral/plant related as my name and my mom's name are both plants. We originally wanted to go in that direction for a first name, but didn't like anything enough for a first name.

I use my son's middle name a lot more than I anticipated, so we'll likely think long and hard about how a middle name sounds being shouted after Eloise ;-)

It's pretty! I think it's easy to spell and not overly popular, I don't know anyone with that name! x

I love it, it's uncommon without being too unusual, suits a baby and an adult, and also there's the option of shortening to 'Ellie' if they would prefer that. Lovely name.

I love your style! Very much a fan of "outdated" but not outlandish names myself. But I'm afraid I always struggle with how to correctly pronounce Eloise. Probably because I've never met one and have only seen the name written down.

It's a very pretty name! I know an Eloise but she spells it Elouise, we all call her Lou.

I think it's pretty. I know one Eloise and she's 28. Elle/Ella/Ellie nickname potential without being too common. I like it.

Ooh Angel, I'm adding Ella to my names list, thanks! That's pretty.

I love it but my dh doesn't so have had to take it off the list. That's how I would spell it as well.

It's a great name and one I would like except dh says no. It's not spelled weirdly either. I personally like names to be spelled the way they traditionally have been.
