Emotions about turning 36 tomorrow

I started TTC at 34. I wasn't really upset when 35 rolled around, but on my 36th birthday, I spent the whole day home crying. I'd been TTC for over a year and still nothing. This year, I was determined not to do that again. I knew that we'd be starting IVF in a month so I should just relax. I went away for the weekend wine tasting with my husband, then on my actual birthday, My period was due on my actual 37th birthday, so I took off work and spent the whole day sitting around drinking champagne and *very* strong cocktails with a good friend. I was determined to get very, very, very, drunk and not let it bother me that after 2+ years of TTC I still wasn't pregnant. Well, my period never came and a few days later I found out that I was pregnant! Babydust to you and happy birthday! It will happen soon.

Happy late B-Day Kiin!!!! I wouldn't worry about turning 36 at all....I turned 36 Nov last year and I still look and behave like a 20 year old LOL

Also I've been married for 5 years and only decided to TTC#1 about a year ago. We tried naturally for about 4 months then went to see a fertility specialist. DH is 33 and I'm 36 and after all tests were done with and it all came back normal for both of us we were diagnosed with unexplained infertility. It was really, really frustrating at the time because I was ovulating every month...my periods were always on schedule and I didn't want to do any treatments at all.

Well long story short we tried for another 6 months with no luck and finally decided to try Clomid and IUI. First try was a BFN and I had a lot of fluid filled cysts but we went ahead with next cycle since all my bloodwork came back normal. This time it was 100mg Clomid, CD 3-7 then IUI with no trigger shot since I surged on my own. I had 2 follies 15mm and 18mm 3 days before the IUI. Then I started testing on DPO 7....then DPO 8 negative then booom DPO 9 I got a BFP.....first Beta test was 57 at DPO11 and I'm doing my next Beta tomorrow
