Empty sac at 11 weeks after bleed

Hi all, just wondering if anyone else has had this - yesterday at about 6pm I was undressing to get into the shower and noticed a small bit of blood and I panicked, checked with my hand if i was bleeding and within 5 mins it literally gushed red sticky blood down my legs.. OH was on the way home from work at this stage and he drove me straight to the hospital where they gave me a scan and to my horror there was a sac there measuring 2-3cm but we saw no baby and no heartbeat, the nurse said that as far as he is concerned theres nothing there but will re-scan in about 10 days to be 100% but not to get my hopes up.. He said to probably expect a heavy bleed as I will probably pass the sac, but so far no more bleeding and no cramps.. Can anyone relate to this and what was th outcome for you?

My miscarriage was different as I had severe cramps, but I just wanted to say that I am so sorry you are going through this. The waiting is so hard...hang in there! (((hugs)))
