Endo & Zoladex

Hi Ladies,

I’m new here so sorry if this has been asked a hundred times (I did do a quick search!)

I have recently been diagnosed with endo, and the consultant has asked if we can wait a few months before TTC and do a 3 month course of Zoladex and elleste duet conti hrt tablets alongside it.

As far as I knew I never really had any major symptoms of endo, I went in to have a lap to remove adhesions which were causing me pain (but could of been the endo) and that when they found the endo & removed what they found.

I just wanted to know if anyone has had anything positive come out of having a course of Zoladex? Good ol google just makes me freak myself out!

I have had my first injection - so far so good, but as the month is going on I’m finding it very hard to make myself go back for the next one.

I had Zoladex many years ago for very severe endo, and it certainly improved it drastically. I wasn't ttc then, but did eventually have my son two years ago. It wasn't a pleasant treatment; I put on two stone in 6 months, had very greasy hair and skin, and felt generally down while on the treatment, but it was worth it ultimately. The weight came off quite quickly after I stopped it. The side effects were probably due to the HRT rather than the Zoladex itself. I also found agnus castus (afterwards) helped.
Good luck! It's worth sticking with it.
