Hi I just found out 2 months ago I had endometriosis after having a laproscopy done and he removed it from the back of my uterus. When I first knew something was wrong I was having lots of pelvic pain, lower back pain, and my legs would hurt a lot also. Unfortunately I think it has started to come back already and wondering if anyone else has had the same experience. I am only 23 and I hope I do not have to suffer from this for years to come

My friends daughter was diagnosed at 17... so very young! And it took time to figure out the right course of action- they tried BC, low dose and 2 others, plus the patch- but eventually went to another specialist who recommended the Non-Estrogen BC (not as effective BC wise, but helps her a LOT with the endo pains). She no longer has much, if any, pain and her periods are very light. Poor thing had horrible ones prior.

I'm sorry any woman has to deal with this. My other friend also got diagnosed very young (at 18) and had surgery.

I've no great advise- it's just something you'll hopefully learn to control. Maybe see a specialist if you haven't already? Or ask about other options to help keep it in check? I know the BC pill is often used since endo is affected by our hormones.

Best of luck! :hugs:

Thanks! I go see my Dr next month...I'm already on the implanon BC in my arm I really like it but if he plans on switching me imma get my tubes tied too since I do not want anymore kids anyways.
