:,( so I went for my anomaly scan just now. Everything looked normal except the stomach was enlarged/distended, and the baby didn't empty the amniotic fluid while scanned, so we had to wait for 15 minutes and go back in. On scanning again the stomach was the same, we have been asked to go back on Monday for a rescan by the consultant sonographer to see whether its still the same.

I asked how much outside of the normal range the stomach measured-to which the sonographer told me that there are no normal measurements its just as an experienced sonographer she can see when a stomach is enlarged. I do find this hard to believe however as there must be a min and max measurement how else would newly qualified sonographers determine the difference?

I saw the specialist midwife afterwards who said that no 'double bubble' was visible on scan and this is usually the sign of a blockage. Therefore hopefully the problem will have resolved on Monday and in the majority of cases that she has seen then it has done. If not we have to be referred to St Mary's specialist women's and children's hospital in Manchester

Has anyone any experience with this? I'm so worried I just felt so anxious for this scan!

Sorry Hun I haven't had any experience on this just wanted to send my love and say I hope it all sorts itself out and goes well on Monday xxxx
