entertaining a 1 yr old without leaving the house for 3 days

Im without a car for 3 days and stuck in the sticks. How on earth do you amuse a 1 yr old in the house for 3 days running??

We usually manage an afternoon or so after being out all morning, but I think she is gona go nuts stuck in

Messy time.

If the weather is ok, fill a small pool or even a large washing up bowl with ready brek (normal or choclate) and let them play in it. Or go to a DIY show and get some lining paper and cover the floor (again pref outside) and get some poster paints and trays and all them to step in the trays and onto the paper. They can put their hands in it too and if they will lie still you could paints around their outline.

If it's raning or cold prehaps cover you living room in blankets and make a series of tents. You'll be amazed at how much more fun sitting still and playing with stuff is wen they are in their 'secret den'. Keep any boxes and use them to build a tower which they can then knock down.
