This is my second month of TTC at least it would be if my AF would turn up. I'm on cycle day 40 now without a period. I have endometriosis and PCO (not PCOS) I went to my Dr a few days ago and she took bloods to test for the usual hormone levels. I can't help but feel cheated, I don't feel as though my body has allowed me a proper chance at the baby making process because I'm waiting for my damn AF to arrive! GRRRRR

My lovely Dr said to come back in 3 months if I'm STILL not pregnant for investigations which sounds scary. I don't know what to expect . I am begging my body to let my AF arrive! PLEASE BODY!!??

I suppose it's kind of ironic really that i spent all my teens on the COC pill to prevent pregnancy when all the time I needn't have bothered because I wouldn't have got pregnant anyway. Getting pregnant is no way near as straight forward as I imagined. I've even begun to be jealous of people who get pregnant at the drop of a hat  FML

Sorry if this has offended any of you LTTTC ladies, please excuse my ignorance I'm new to this TTC stuff despite having found out about my PCO and endometriosis a couple of years ago post laparascopic surgery. I thought it would be straight forward until we started TTC (foolishly) I should have listened to my gynea surgeon when he said that TTC may be very tricky for me :dohh:

Hi becks88,

TTC is never easy when you are aware that you have factors which may be against you. A couple of months of trying is not so long, though I understand your frustrations about the whole thing of being on the pill for all those years. Have you been off it for long as even without PCO it may take a few months for your cycles to settle after you stop taking it.

I think your gp is sensible in asking you to wait 3 months. Then you can at least see how your cycles go. In the meantime, it doesnt hurt to collect data. If you have irregular or long cycles have you read about fertility awareness and charting temperatures and cervical mucus? I know it sounds icky but your body gives you so much information that I personally was oblivious to before TTC. The fertility friend website gives you a free course in charting all these signs and I found it really useful. I went through a phase with 50-60 day cycles, but through charting I discovered that I was still ovulating, just really late.

Good luck and lot of baby dust,
fluffy x

Thank you i think I will check that site out. I have been off the pill for 8 nearly 9 months now  I will just keep tracking and I'm def going to go check that site out. You never know, my AF might turn up doon!

Thank you very much :flower:
