Its like they have a special power, but don't worry, it does fade, my ex still trys it now, sarcastic comments, sometimes plain nasty ones, but after all this time it just washes over me, which actually annoys him more.
He's probably being sarcastic, trying to make out that your the one leaving him out, even though you have went out of your way to involve him, it makes them feel better, and adds to their 'poor me' attitude. I would say ignore him, cus actually, yes you are looking forward to it, and you deserve to be excited rather than upset.
And it is true, only 2 months to go!!!

Yeah I've been doing the same just ignoring the last message he sent...FOB= Total Arse!

I know how you feel about him suddenly contacting you out of the blue type thing. I honestly dont have a clue whats gonna happen once LO is born! I try not to let him get to me but its easier said than done. Every day there's always something we think about regarding FOB.Why cant they all just make up their minds instead of messing with ours??!!

He said YOUR baby....hmmmm not sure on that one but I agree with xxannxx!! I get THE baby and baby and it and he once said "my kid" and i flipped a little bit i was like MY baby is not a f***** baby goat!!

Me either! Im hoping to play it as it happens when lil one finally does make an appearance! Im just fed up of thinking about FOB when its clear he thinks about us zilch!

Heehee id have flipped aswell! The slighest thing he says/does makes me mad, so id have probably gone over the top with that one lol I remember when he kept referring to the baby as HE, before we knew the sex, and that made me fuming as it was obvious he only wanted a boy, he became way more distant when we found out it was a girl!

I just worry all the time as i know that he will try and get back at me when/ if he finds out about keeping his name off the birth certificate....i reckon he'll try and get a court order to change it (he's that type of person...would do it out of spite even tho he doesnt really care). Also think that any arrangement we try to come to he isnt gonna like it and will drag it through court (again just out of spite) But then again i worry faaaaar too much for my own good!

I mean what are we supposed to do? I dont even know what he feels.....or how involved he wants to be...the impression he has given is zilch and then the next minute its "i want to do my bit" but is it just out of duty? or is that a strange way of saying he cares or something? i mean he says i care about you and baby one day...then no contact for another few weeks then its no mention of LO whatsoever etc etc

How are we suppossed to know whats going on and whats gonna happen??

Sorry...i kind of went off in a bit of a rant there lol

Haha i feel exactly the same! How are we supposed to no how to feel when they wont give us a clear answer??? Makes me constantly worry about everything!

As for the BC im not telling him he's not going on, as he's so clueless he doesnt no he has to be there to be put on it. So what he doesnt no wont hurt him!

Im lucky that my FOB would never go the court route, as he's too lazy, plus he hasnt even told his parents yet, so he wouldnt want everyone finding out!

Hopefully your FOB will make things easy for you too but you never no with them...

Weird because the other day my FOB text me and referred to LO as "our baby"....

I was like WTF?! Its MY baby!!!!! hehe! I made sure in his reply I said "my baby"...not that he probably noticed but it made me feel better

They do have this super power though I agree....they always pop up either:

A - when you feel happy as larry and they completely ruin it ... or
B - when you think you couldn't feel any worse... and they prove to you that yeah actually you could feel worse!!

Heehee thats the thing, because even if he had of said 'our' id be thinking the exact same things as you did! I guess they just cant win lol If you can say 'my' to him i think i should aswell! haha

They definitely can't win. If he'd said "your baby" I woulda been like "its your baby too!!!" He really can't say anything right. He asked me the other day if I had a feeling on if LO was a boy or girl...I bit his head off saying how was I supposed to know. But if anyone else asks they get a long story on how I think its a girl and blah blah....

I will have to start being more civil once baby arrives...but he can't expect me to be nice to him!!! x
