Estimated weight of baby!

I am currently 36wks +2days, had a gynie appointment today and LO's estimated weight was 2kg 700g, which if i worked out correctly is about 5lb 9oz. Anyone know how much weight the baby is surposed to gain between 36 and 40weeks? Is this about right for how far gone i am? obviously i understand it would only be an estimate so could swing either way.

i've never really known anyones estimate to be anywhere near right tho!

Not sure about how much bigger they should get - but I had a scan at 36+6. They measured baby to be between 4 1/2 & 5 lbs(small - by about 2-3 weeks).... I went into the hospital that night to start induction & Megan was born the next day. She weighed 5 lbs 14 oz.... so a whole pound off! So after that not sure how accurate those growth scans really are!

I was about to say the same, I've heard of more that have been WAY off and only a few that have been close
