I have some Estonian heritage and would love to use some Estonian names for my future children. Being from the UK though I'm worried that people will mispronounce them etc. Names already used in my family are Ilse (sister & gran), Tiia, Janne and Liisa.

What do you think of these? I tried to find ones that weren't too out there!

your girls list seems fine

the boys would be a little more confusing, I had to pause and re-read some of them

also I know the spellings are cultural but some people may think the double 'i' in karoliine is a typo

Thanks. I am aware of the double i issue but it's likely that Karoliine would be a middle name anyway. The pronunciation is different on it too (Karo-"leen" not "line").

no matter what people have trouble pronouncing names.

Even the most common of names. I am constantly correctly people on my name - "JES" not "Jen".

The girl list was vary simple to pronounce as they follow english speaking phonetics. As for 'Line' it will always be something to be clarified or differentiated between 'Line' and 'Lean'.
