Evening Primrose Oil and Vitex

So I just bought Evening Primrose Oil and Vitex.. I did research that these two pills would help me conceive.. I guess I'm just wondering if they are really going to work or did I just waste my money on getting these? Does anyone know how well these work from experience or know anyone that has taking these two pills?

I have PCOS and I took these together and they helped me ovulate - from looking at my chart!
I stopped taking them once ovulation happened, I am now 8dpo so I don't know about the conceiving part
