Ever had a follicle shrink prior to ovulation?

Hey ladies,

At my u/s this morning they found that 2 of my follicles had actually shrunk over the past couple days. On Wed. I had a 12 and 2 16's, and today (Fri.) I had one 18, one had shrunk down to 15, and the 12 had shrunk to 11. Anyone ever had this happen before? I didn't think that follicles would shrink pre-O once they got past 12 mm. They gave me my trigger this morning since I had the one at 18, but I'm wondering if the one that shrunk from 16 to 15 could still be viable.

Yes I have. Im toldy eggs are acting"funny". From everything im reading and also what the doctors said the eggs where not healthy. If they where they would not have shrunk. Im sorry this happened. My ivf ended up being an unsuccessful iui. I hope u have better luck.

It can happen. However my doc said you only need one good egg to get pregnant.
