Nope - very odd! Stop eating nik naks!

msg? it makes some peoples heart beat faster, that could be causing you to feel faint.

sodium glutamate? yes it has this in it! tnx hun i had a feelin it could be this!

i get super thirsty too if i have it. so much food has it in arggg. i must be sensitive to it :S

MSG can also make you really thirsty, so try having a big glass of water to wash them down!

Yes, if MSG doesn't bother you when you're not pregnant! Monosodium glutamate (MSG) is a natural component of many foods. It's a salt of the amino acid glutamine, and we always have some MSG in our bodies. Plus, it's commonly used to enhance the flavor of many foods, especially Asian food.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has been testing MSG for years and rates it "generally recognized as safe." However, the FDA requires that all foods containing MSG include that information on the label, because some people develop an adverse reaction to it, whether pregnant or not.

In people who are sensitive to it, MSG can trigger headaches, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, and sleep disturbances. So you may want to avoid it during pregnancy, especially if you were sensitive to MSG before pregnancy.

There's no evidence that MSG is harmful to a developing baby. In fact, it would be very difficult to ingest enough MSG to cause a problem. Even a large dose — which can cause nausea and vomiting even in someone who's not sensitive to it — wouldn't pose a known risk to a developing baby.

tnx so much girls. i now know why i get faint with some foods :)

yeah. My dad cant have some foods espcaially oriental foods as it causes him to have heart palpitations. Nik naks might have more in than most foods, and your chemistry is altered so you might be sensitive to it at the moment, paired with double blood and a more active heart, makes sense.

If theres a polish shop near you, they often sell these massive bags of crisp type things that look like wotsits, theyre really cheap and have no flavour on them, they might be good if you fancy a snack. Or plain home popped popping corn.

tnx hun looked at packs again it cant be msg as the packs dnt hav them in it! it was sodium diacitate :S
