I'm somewhere between 2 and 4dpo... I just had a BM and had a huge glob of ewcm come out. Is that a typical sign so far after ovulation? I've read it can be residual estrogen causing the ewcm. Is that a bad sign to have EWCM right now? Don't I want there to be a surge of progesterone post ovulation? I'm confused lol anyone have any insight to this?

I had something similar happen this month. I thought I had O'd on the 11th. Had EWCM, high & open cervix, & pain in my right ovary. The only thing is my BBT didn't rise on the 12th. On the 13th my boobs got sore. Usually they don't get sore until after I O. On the 15th I again had EWCM, high & open cervix, & pain in my right ovary. On the 16th my BBT rose. So I might have O'd on the 11th & the 15th. It's possible to O twice in a few days time.

I don't chart my BBT, I just use OPKs. I had EWCM Thursday and Friday, +OPK Friday and Saturday.. and it's been negative since Monday. My cycle would say I should have O'd around Thursday-Sunday.. I'm pretty positive I'm not O'ing a second time, because the EWCM is completely gone now and the opk test line has been non existent since Sunday. Congrats on your pregnancy!

I used to have EWCM up to 3dpo because it hadn't dried up yet. My temperature had risen to show I had, indeed, ovulated but there must have been a bit of fertile CM left. I now have a mix of CM not drying up and it drying up soon after ovulation. Either way, it isn't impossible to have EWCM after ovulation but also, you can ovulate up to 36 hours after a positive OPK. Maybe charting BBT would give you a better indication.
