EWCM 3dpo???

Hi girlies!

So.... I ovulated 3 days ago,(confirmed by opk and strong ovukation cramps). Then today (3dpo) I noticed A TON OF EWCM!!! What the heck? 😐 Anyone ever had this happen? Or know what may cause this? It's never happened to me before...

It happened to me last cycle. I got my first BFP but turned out to be chemical pregnancy. I'm hoping I get it again this cycle. Good luck.

I too had that today and I am 3 DPO as well, confirmed with strong pains and temp rise. It was with one wipe and I had a whole bunch even more than I had all of my fertile window!! Mine though had a bunch of yellow chunks (sorry TMI) Now I am left with a lot of creamy CM, and a back ache. Does this sound like what you had?

Yup! Exactly what I had.... Now its more watery and creamy which I guess is considered "normal" for now 6 dpo. The body is a curious thing! guess now, we all just need to wait our the 2ww and pray for our bfp! Good luck ladies!!

I did some research and I guess we had that because of a secondary estrogen surge! It happens to help get our linings to thicken. So lets pray this is a good sign!! For some women this is a good sign and other still get their AF.

My theory is that if the egg gets fertilized, it will send out a chemical to start the uterus to build up nice and thick. If the egg doesn't dig in then it will go towards AF, if the egg digs in we get our BFP!! It sounds about right and very plausible and can explain why there is both.

As far as I remember well EGCM after O means an increase of estrogen, this is nothing to be worried about!
I'm trying for a girl, too!!

Hi ladies, sorry for bumping up an old thread but I came upon this as I'd googled looking for info as to why on earth I'm having so much ewcm at about 3dpo (it could be 4dpo actually) and this came up!

I've had what you described as huge globs of ewcm today! Highly unusual as normally I don't even get that much at ovulation! I also have some lower cramping so kind if assumed I was actually just ovulating later than I thought.

Can I ask, I see you're both pregnant now - did you both get pregnant the cycle you noticed these globs of ewcm?
